no, no, no. They just smashed the who f - ing box with it in it. Put it in a bag and delivered it to my vet.

Ah - yeah, that you have to worry about. I've found that building in multiple "crush" points (box, padding, another box, etc) helps with that. Sometimes the outer box will be a mess, but if you plan correctly most times the inner box is safe.
