Did it really flood? If so, I feel bad for ya. Get up and out what you can!

It's been raining in Canton Ohio for literally 20+ straight hrs. at this point. It's sure put me in a bahumbug mood but the basement hasn't flooded...yet.

I didn't know you were in Canton!? WTF. I'm in Dayton, grew up in Cleveland.

The local paper said we got a month's worth of rain in 2 days. 😣

My sump pump line going out of the house blew apart and was just pumping water in the basement (who knows for how long, I heard it the minute I walked in the house from work). 🤦

Perfect timing during the freaking monsoon and I'm on crutches. Kind of blew the whole non-weight bearing crutches only thing last night and I'm paying for it today.
[frypan]

But I was able to fix the pipe and got all the water up, only had to rip up part of the carpet, hopefully it will just lay back down once I get it all the way dry. We only lost a few items in the storage area, but one box that got soaked was full of old pictures......#-o Could have been waaaaaaayyyyyyy worse.

I wanted to build a water feature for the bar but not quite like this!

What a bummer! We had the power go out during a crazy storm a few years ago and the power went out at the house. My wife and I were up at 2 AM with buckets and HUGE cups pulling water by hand out of the sump basin so it wouldn't spread to the rest of the basement. Two hours of self draining the basement. Horrible. You should have seen my wife's face when the power kicked on and the whole sump basin was pumped away. It was like we won the lottery! Livin' life moment I guess.

I hope your carpet is salvageable. Sounds like you got to it before the whole basement was covered deep. At least there is some positive. Sorry to hear about the picture though!
