there is so much hype about cuban cigars that they seem somehow mystical. anyone that has smoked them knows some are good, some are bad. cuban cigars are not the end all or the be all of cigars.
when they were legal and made well before the revolution and the embargo, less then 25% of the cigars bought in this country were cuban.
by now, with all the respecable growers having left cuba for the dr and other places, i doubt that the land is being utilized properly to maintain the standard that there was back then. the tobacco may not be as good as it was and the tobacco grown in the dr is probably better.
i know veryone wants to taste the forbidden fruit, but i'll bet if two unbanded cigars were smoked, no one could tell the cuban from the non cuban.
the oinks of the day from CaribbeanSoul look great, but remember their last boy friend moved on after he got bored with f***ing her.
