After some weighty deliberation and taking advice from ALOT of people.....I think I will go with the $100 a piece. Engraving and all. Whether it's now or closer to December all depends on if I am able to find a way around the "shipping ordnance items" from here. If I can swing that, I can get more. As of right now, I have 12 sitting net to me just waiting to be edged, cleaned, and polished. Would say about another 4-5 hrs of work left on each one. Etching won't take long. i will need a JPEG if there's a special image going on it. If it's just lettering, I'll need to know what font. I will let you all know if/when I do or do not get a way of shipping from here.

Well, bad news....I talked to a Major over at Customs today. He said it's a no-go to be able to take these back. Looks like I will have to try and smuggle them back when I come back stateside in a few months. That also means there will be a LIMITED quantity of them if I do manage to get them back.

That would be a great item to put up for auction on the next C-A-T. Enough have expressed a desire for them that it could fetch a good number of bids. Just a thought.

did you try bribing them with smokes? that works sometimes, or just hang out by the post office smoke pit and get in good with one of them, its all about who you know. I am still trying to work my angle too, but no luck so far.

I'm working another angle. I gave one to someone and he got it through the post office. I'm going to try to send one as a "test" and make sure I can do it. If it goes through, it's game on. i was unable to pull off the rests on them though. The guy that was supposed to do it for me is gone now. I didn't know he was leaving. I'll let you all know what I find out from my attempt at the Post Office as soon as I can.

maybe try MPSing it, you could send to me if you need to. Maybe they might be a little more relaxed knowing that it is going to another military base

oh one more thing to try, I bought a bunch of stuff from the bazarr, like the cloth things for my wife and little odds and ends to send back home, the good part is, I wrapped them all up individually and marked the names of the family member I wanted it to go to and all they did was ask whats at the bottom, and I made up some BS and got to send a bunch of stuff back to the states. just something else to try and help ya out
