I am surprised those plastic chairs don't shatter in some of the temps you have told me about.

Oh those chairs would shatter in the temps that we had in January. At 0 or so they are not too bad. When it gets really cold, like 40 below and colder you have to be very careful about everything. Even the controls in vehicles will break off. I used to have an old Toyota truck when I first got up here that had the heater contol broken off. I had it stuck on defrost till I traded it in.
