If you're not breaking it you ain't trying......

Yeah I would go for a pound too I actually ordered one that was supposed to arrive today but hasn't.

Wouldn't hurt to up what I have in my two real humidors as the pound I have en route is for my new coolidor.

Ok, I was gonna keep my mouth shut cause I knew y'all would be flaming the noob. But then I read where he bought 45 friggen pounds of beads. By the time I got to the end of all the post, I had tears running down my face and my side hurts from laughing so much.

Dude, seriously. FORTY-FIVE pounds!!!

You should just put the beads in the den and use your house for a walk in humidor.

If you should find you may have bought a tad too many, I could use another pound or 2 of they are 65 percent and not kitty litter.

I think you may have dropped a decimal point 4.5 because 45lbs is intervention time.

Funny thread love these lets see what the kids made of flight or fight scenario.

Just got HF beads the other day 1lb and 500count humi is doing fine holding solid 65% fast rebound time after it was open shifting some sticks around.

Good luck go to the Noob trade thread too.

Sounds good. As long as they are the 65%, I would be interested. Just PM me if/when interested.

Thanks, Ray

Sure...

I will be checking them when they show up.

They are conditioning them to 65% before they ship so they are ready to use out of the box.

I will put a few pounds in a freezer bag with a hygrometer and see what happens.

Pretty sure that PoolCue said that he was using something like 50lbs of kitty litter in his walk in. So maybe 45 lbs is not too much.

I think it's 1 lb to 5 cubic feet but you can use more for added buffer. not sure if using way to much would have a negative effect. Like maybe drawing moisture out of wet sticks to quickly... Not sure

More than likely it just gives you more reserve capacity and more stability when changes occur.

Hang in there Roaster Dude. I've switched from drymistat gel sticks to Heartfelt beads since a good bro here, gimbel, did a bulk buy and hooked a bunch of us up. Now my containers don't spike like they did with the gel sticks. The beads are slowly bringing down the RH from about 70 to the target 65. The cigars were stored for months at about 70, so it's taking a little time to dry out a bit.

gimbel's "bulk" buy for more than a dozen ppl was 15lbs. Do you have a warehouse for your smokes? 45 lbs is a lot of beads, and inquiring minds need to know...

Nice... I will have the same issues.

I have looked at just about everything and came to the conclusion that beads were the best way to go for what I have now. I almost bought KL as well as an Avallo accumonitor before checking into getting beads in bulk wholesale.

Maybe you can start a business for cigar addicts to store their sticks away from their homes, so the DOW doesn't know the extent of their "problem." Call it Rent A Humi.

$5?/month plus shipping, all the space at 65%, you need
