No doubt! Ya know I didn't even realize it wasn't taxed when I first started,then about the third time into the brew shop I noticed he didn't charge sales tax.So I asked him why,he said cause it's considered food.Yeah baby! I'm gonna like this Home Brew Biz...LOL

jj...I meant the tax the government charges on beer. Homebrewing is also a great family activity. Everyone in the family gets some job and capping night is very busy...The best advice I ever got was to sterilize the bottles in the dishwasher before you draw off the second fermentation and bottle directly from the dishwasher. We never had a bad batch.

M, I knew that.Here in Cali they also don't charge sales tax. BTW I have moved on from bottling to 5 gal kegs,it's the only way to go! Most home brewers use the old 5 gallon cornelius kegs from the soda industry.No mo bottles for me. :^)
