Because if it's a smart phone, who's paying the for the data plan?

And Regan's plan provided telephones for their basic necessity. Smart phones do NOT fit in that category, so to equate the two is disingenuous at best.

I didn't get into the details but smart phoes are available... I don't know about data plans tho.... apparently you also get a free t-shirt when you sign up.. 👍

Sentence structure is important.

See spot run.

Run spot run!

So... since I'm the only one willing to actually look crap up. Here's the breakdown:

1 - Reagan started the program, intending to give low income families a phone for emergency access.

2 - This was expanded in the Telecommunications Act under Clinton to be applicable to either landlines OR Wireless service.

(OH NO!!!! SEE VICTOR! THE DEMS ARE TRYING TO GIVE AWAY CELL PHONES!!!)

Unwad your panties. The act only provides a discount towards a landline or cell bill. The average household under this plan is getting $9.95 to apply to either a landline or a cell phone, and the type of service does not increase how much they get.

3 - The Safelink Wireless program was then put in place by W Bush which ACTUALLY GIVES LOW INCOME FAMILIES A CELL PHONE AND A NUMBER OF MINUTES.

EAT MOR CHIKIN!

Politicians- WIN (by using your cash to buy votes)

Telecom Corporations - WIN (they receive your cash)

Welfare Rats - WIN (they receive "free" phones....paid for by YOU)

Taxpayer/Ratepayer - LOSE (cuz YOU get to pick up the tab) Look at your phone bill for the Universal Fee charge. That is it. I pay $4.18 per month for this program. How about you?

What's not to love about socialism??

Sounds good until you find out they want 99 cents for the app!

I gotta find a way to charge the gubment for free stuff..... 🤔

All this... 50 freaking posts...

And he still thinks they're Obama phones.

Call them Reagan, Clinton or BushW phones, depending on how you want to spin the argument... for f-s sake.

You are all what is wrong with this world.

Reread post 50 and identify one part of it which refers to stupid voters miscrediting their handouts.

Nevermind... that'd require you read.

The intent of the initial post may have been about the misinformed voters who think obama's giving them phones. (I don't know Bucky's intent). But most of the posts after it have been blaming Obama for giving poor people phones....

It's almost like the posters of cbid are as stupid as the woman in the video.

it doesn't matter what the thread is about.. it's what Victor thinks it should be about... 🤦
