Well, they are just newscasters...and all they really do is read a Teleprompter...there's a kinship...a bond...a truce that they have with the Kenyan King...he's one of theirs...it's not because they're aligned politically...forget that...it's because of the Teleprompter!

Next election cycle we should go in a different direction for the moderation of Presidential debates...

1st debate - Pee Wee Herman

Vice Presidential debate - a rodeo clown

2nd debate - Jay Leno

3rd debate - Simon Cowell

That's absurd. But if you're going the mental route you might as well choose Emo Pinhead Phillips and Judy Goddess Tenuda with her accordion.

Romney was wrong on the small point and correct on the larget point. pretty simple.

And Romney didn't follow the rules of the debate as agreed upon by both parties. he had no intention to. Neither did obama. obama was just more graceful when asked to. Romney felt the need to be more aggressive.

thats neither good nor bad ... just my opinion. we all have them. Don't mistake yours as fact.

It was between Gary and Mitt but I think Mitt comes accross as a douche and wears the same flip flops John Kerry does.

Get it over with and just vote for Obama again. Spare us the drama.

James Carville, Democrat political consultant extraordinaire – and former Bill Clinton campaign manager, has astonishingly come out and said what all good Republicans have known for decades: Not only are most Democrats politically clueless; they’re easily manipulated by the puppet masters of their party as well. Wow. James Freaking Carville. Of all people. Here’s an excerpt, as quoted on Amazon.com:

“Ideologies aren’t all that important. What’s important is psychology.

The Democratic constituency is just like a herd of cows. All you have to do is lay out enough silage and they come running. That’s why I became an operative working with Democrats. With Democrats all you have to do is make a lot of noise, lay out the hay, and be ready to use the ole cattle prod in case a few want to bolt the herd.

Eighty percent of the people who call themselves Democrats don’t have a clue as to political reality.

What amazes me is that you could take a group of people who are hard workers and convince them that they should support social programs that were the exact opposite of their own personal convictions. Put a little fear here and there and you can get people to vote any way you want.

The voter is basically dumb and lazy. The reason I became a Democratic operative instead of a Republican was because there were more Democrats that didn’t have a clue than there were Republicans.

Bingo. I couldn’t have written that for ol’ James any better myself. Truth be told, I’ve always had kind of a love-hate relationship with Carville. While I’ve never agreed with him on much of anything –unless he was commenting on the failures of his party, which unlike most political operatives, he’s not been afraid to do through the years – this is different. This amounts to a total confession of what I define in the right sidebar of this blog as the quintessential “political lie”:

Liberals saying things they know aren’t true for the sole purpose of exploiting the “less-than-informed” for political gain.

I think she did the best she could to regain control of two massive egos who couldn't follow the rules. moderating is a far more difficult task than most could ever realize with a real skill-set that few truly have.

(And, I am voting for Romney, so don't think for a moment that my opinion is based on anything but my true opinion unaffected by who I support.)
