We break this CBid thread for an important update...This just in from the newsdesk...Wink, take it away.
Wink: Smoky haze runnin' through my brain...good evening ladies and gentlemen I'm Wink McFinkerstein reporting from a sleepy little hamlet somewhere in Pennsylvania. This tiny little village will become Ground Zero for a festival chock full of cigars, booze, live bands and scantily clad womenfolk. The likes that have never been seen in Gerogetown or Penn State. I'm not talking about hazing week in Bowling Green, no I'm talking about CIGARFEST...2013. An event so revered that only a select few with a golden ticket will be able to participate. Spaces are limited and where they will sleep is a bigger gamble. Motels, hotels camping sites have been all reserved for months. The park benches, homeless shelters and bus stations have been now been all claimed. The only spots open are now the sidewalks and alleys...wait...what this??? I've just been told by someone talking like a bandmember from ABBA that the alleys and the sidewalks have now all been claimed. There you have it, there's no more room at the inn. Katy bar the door. It's all over but the crying and from the few that are already lining up to enter CIGARFEST 2013...they're bringing their tents and cots with them. Let me see if I can get one to talk with the camera. Hello, sir...can you put the iPhone down and talk with us? I'm here to find out where you're planning on sleeping?
n00b: Huh, wha? Oh me? I'm usually just minding my business tending to NWO stuff and smoking my Gurkha cigars...if you post about them on websites they send you free stuff...and like I'm totally used to sleeping out in the open...NWO for LIFE!
Wink: I see, but what about food?
n00b: Oh, all I need is these bands. I can just eat the bands off of the cigars. That's all I need.
Wink: So, you've brought your tent and is that a sleeping bag?
n00b: Yeah, I won so many auctions for Ron Mexico cigars that I was finally able to save enough. They said it was only $59.00, but it's totally worth it!
Wink: The sleeping bag was $59.00?
n00b: No, the Ron Mexico's! The bidding was furious and losing a bid is a sign of weakness so I had to have them so I can send fiver's all over the place.
Wink: I see. Well, best of luck to you and have fun at what many are calling the Disney World of Cigars for the aficionado.
n00b: Luck? I was gonna bid on those too!
Wink: Of course you were, of course...you...were. So as you can see the expectations are high the quality level low here in the line. The 7 feet of snow that pummelled the area with wonton willy nilly has made the reservations seem more valuable than the golden ticket into the event. I'm sure for those lucky few it will be like attending the Royal Wedding, Led Zeppelin at the O2 arena and shopping at IKEA for adult furniture all rolled into one and that's not a spicy meatball it's a gravy dipped in snozzberry jam meatball with a side of Perrier! I'm Wink McFinkerstein reporting and this has been Your Man About Town Update!
Thank you Wink...and there you have it. Earlier today there was a mob in the parking lot when it was rumored that there were kegs of beer, BBQ grills and Dodge trucks offering free cigars under hospitality tents but the police were called in and rubber hoses were used to quash the riots...and in Sports today...the...
