My wife works for the Human resources department for IT at GE and they pretty much require some sort of college degree to even get your foot in the door.
They do hire a lot of X-military IT people (even without college degrees as long as they have military IT training). The military is a good path in to a lot of jobs. JMO 🌫
In addition to what I do (btw we had an old Maryland GE plant as a client), I'm also working on 2 start-ups but if they don't work out, I would appreciate passing my resume to your lovely wife. I can swing a mean broom or I can be Drafter's assistant so he can post more.
