Only Gurkha I've ever had of any count was the Master Select, which, unfortunately, are being discontinued. I always thought that they had a unique flavor profile; press releases initially claimed that this stick was supposed to mimic a 1950s era Cuban Bolivar, one of the most famous cigars in history.
All other Gurkhas I've had, both CI/CBid exclusives and B&M lines have always left me with buyer's remorse. Never has a cigar company so consistently put out bad smokes that won't burn straight, are inconsistent from stick to stick, overpriced, overhyped, and most had the ever-famous Gurkha wrapper issues.
I got started on the Master Select and it is sad to see them fade away, but I'd recommend trying a little of most sticks and finding what you like. After 8 years, I've found some gangbuster cigars that can be had on the cheaps, although I still smoke Tatuaje, Illusione, Ashton, Fuente, Padron, and several other tried-and-trues for special occasions.
