This is what I dont get. Because the actual manufacturers don't always make gems, it's ok for someone else to get sticks made somewhere else and stick a manufacturers label on it. What? I dont care if it's under license, they are not the cigars they are supposed to be. This isnt a game, this is my money we're talking about. If I buy cigar X, I expect it to at least be made under the supervision of brand X. Not some house blend with a "licenced" label.

I think one of Sven's responses really nailed it. The Brand Rep doesn't have to know about the product because its not in their portfolio to sell to individual B&M stores. He mentions the licensing agreement then too.

But every few months this type of discussion rears its head. And we're accused of selling 'knock-offs.'

Bottom line is that I can type til my fingers fall off. Those who think we're lying thieves will continue to do so. Those who trust us will continue to do so. All I can hope is that those who aren't sure which way to go will read this thread and make their own decision.

I've never intentionally said anything I knew to be wrong. That's how I roll.

Ok I don' t post much here on these kinds of discussions, but here is my 2 cents. Unless I am very mistaken I don't see manufacturers like Padron or Fuente licensing their cigars to be re banded, but these two are also powerhouses and do not have too. Companys like Graycliff and Gurhka are not even in the same league as these guys so they do what they have too to make a profit and CI/C-bid can in turn make a truck load of cash doing what they do. Now if I were a cigar maker would I do this? No I would not, but thats just the way I feel and what I think is right.

I'm pretty sure every Graycliff or Gurhka Ive ever had came from here and they sucked, but thats my taste and others may enjoy them. But if CI/C-bid can keep making money this way then more power to them. Right or wrong its just my honest opinion.

And yes my paragraphs, sentence structure, etc are not that good. I tried.. blow me.
