same reason the ghost, seduction, and cellar reserve were only sold here for a week and then no more... all the gurkha bashing on this forum has pretty much guaranteed that here they will only sell for what they deserve to sell for, not what k han wants...

You can't seriously believe that Gurkha gives a crap about what is said on this forum. FYI Gurkha has been going with B & M only sales on recent lines. CBID could sell thousands of them if they were available. Did you ever smoke a Seduction, Ghost or Cellar Reserve ?

No, its a sanctioned product, made in a different location.

If you want the real deal Graycliff cigars, you MUST purchase them from the hotel in the Bahamas. They don't distribute them anywhere else, to the best of my knowledge. So its safe to say that if you're purchasing it from us, its not made in the Bahamas. If you do your homework, you would find this information out and not be looking for them on an auction site.

If you were to buy a t-shirt that said Dalla Cowboys on it that wasn't licensed by the NFL, that would be a knock-off. If you go to Chinatown in NYC and buy a 'coach' purse that isn't actually made by Coach, that's a knock-off. If you buy a Graycliff cigar that you don't like, was made in Honduras but is licensed to a company that had it made in Honduras, that is NOT a knock-off - its a cigar you don't like.

We can simply agree to disagree Porksoda. You don't like the idea of licensing and that's ok.

While I do disagree with that characterization, I do have to at least thank for answering and being professional, it is appreciated.

It's real simple. Small businesses make a few $$$ selling the rights to their name. Big business gets to make a few $$$ selling cigars labeled as something that they are not. The un-educated consumer gets a cigar.

Kinda like going to Cozumel and buying a box of Cohibas in a glass box.

I didn't say anyone from gurkha cared... I said,

"all the gurkha bashing on this forum has pretty much guaranteed that here they will only sell for what they deserve to sell for, not what k han wants"

they did a trial run selling the seduction, cellar reserve, and royal challenge here once... they did not go for as much as gurkha wanted... I attribute that - at least in part - to the truth-telling here on this forum about gurkha's business practices...

I've had all 3... the seduction with a year rest on it was ok but it was still a gurkha, which means k han made money on it, which means I won't be smoking any more...

I don't know why I'm bitching. Platinum Club members don't get knock-offs. We get the real deal.

This is why I just buy the old school cigars from Cbid. The ones with the classic old labels that say PAUNCH or COHIVA...at least you know what you're getting.

Think 1989 Lexus ES. A Camry with an upscale brand name. Still just a Camry though.

You guys want to see a real crime, then next time you're in Dallas or any other Texas metro area, check out what the average B&M's are getting on dog rockets without changing names, bands, or hiding it at all!
