I know a quick way to end this discussion. Go out and buy a cigar. Smoke it. If you like it, buy it again. Keep repeating this process and you won't have to worry about the label(s.) 🌫

So the magic tobacco fairy continuously creates the identical tobacco, year after year, and the taste remains exactly the same.... I think that story begins with "Once upon a time...." and ended with "they lived happily ever after."

Think about it. A lot of cigars are made with small, finite batches of tobacco for the filler, binder and wrapper. If any one element changes, it changes the taste - maybe only slightly or maybe a lot. That doesn't mean they've changes the blend. It means the original tobacco ran out!

I know how everyone feels about Cigar Aficionado but why do you think they taste the same cigar every few years? Why is it that the Macanudo 1968 is so highly regarded while the rest of the line is what it is? Because that year, the tobacco was fantastic. They didn't change the blend.

When you're talking about small batches of tobacco, like Gurkha would use, after that tobacco runs out the taste of the cigar will most likely change with the new tobacco in the mix. Why should they change the band? You're talking about a huge expense.

This isn't rocket surgery guys....

It's true that you can never get the original flavor back when the tobacco runs out.

My question is then,why keep trying to capitalize on the 93 rating that the La Perla Habana Black Pearl Morado
got way back when?

Cbid and sister company's simply have to much at stake to even consider selling inferior blends under the same label. One of the reasons they are so large is their integrity. They simply cannot risk their reputation.

No, just my view of how business works. Having been in B2B sales for a long time you learn integrity promotes customer loyalty, dishonesty loses customers.

There is a large difference between deceptive business practices and old reviews. Though I do agree with you that old reviews should not be mentioned.

Deceptive business practices are lies. The review is not. You are looking at a fairly standard marketing practice with the review. To me the review does not alter Cbid's integrity. You seem to think that it does. I suppose that is simply 2 different points of view. As I stated above my preference is they do not provide old reviews.
