Slim, I can't offer any advice from experience since I have not been there but if there is anything you need e-mail or call. I'd say more coffee and cigars along with a hobby. Takes some balls to post this.

I'll be praying for you consistently. Grew up in a home where my dad drank too much...verbal abuse came about through that to all members of the family.

He realized what was going on and through a lot of hard work and tough times...he's been sober for the better part of 15 years now...and I respect him and love him even more because of it. I saw what it was like for him...how hard it was...but he quit because he loved us.

Anyhow...no guilt...no shame...just press on brother and know that I'm bringing you before the throne.

Slim, just saw this. That's a brave and wise admission. Some of the best people I know are on the spiritual journey that you are on or are ready to begin. You are not alone. God's blessings on you.
