gg7 - I have a wireless network as well, but my company paid for it. Unfortunately though, my roof deck is in SF, and it's too damn cold and windy here to smoke and type outside!! It's below 50 degrees right now!!

cwilhelmi - Cool! It is a nice thing to have and you do get addicted to the freedom very quickly. I tend to work outside a good portion of the time during the summer using this system. Sure beats working in a hot office!

SF as in San Francisco? I thought it was warm down there in the summer?

bzzzzzzzttttt

sorry, that is incorrect. Mark Twain is reputed to have said that the coldest winter of his life was a summer in San Francisco ... whether he actually said that or not, it is an absolute fact. I live 35 miles away, but work here in The City ... it has been HOT (upper 90s) at my house in the daytime, quite warm at night. But, at lunchtime, I will wear my coat when I go out ... I'll bet it's no more than low 60's out there right now.

I had a softball game that started at 6pm last night, by the time the game started it was in the 50s. Our real summer starts in August/September and last through October. These are the warmest months of the year, and the highs are still rarely over 85. It's the crazy bay effect. go check weather.com, it does a decent job of showing the weird weather... chris

The temperature in SF has less variation from the mean than any other large city in the world ... the same condition that causes it to be far cooler in The City in summertime that it is at my home only 35 miles away will also cause it to be warmer here in winter ... and Chris is right ... October will be the warmest weather of the year ... any of you planning to come here to ride a little cable car half way to the stars and leave your heart high on a hill will be well advised to do so in October ...

An old question here asks "how can you spot the summertime tourists in SF?" ... (answer: they're the ones wearing shorts and goosebumps)

I guess its all relative!

Although we are looking for a record high today (over 91 in Seattle) generally, anything above 60 degrees can be considered T-shirt and shorts temperatures! ;o)

woudn't a person who responds to a threadjackers off subject post be an accessory?? does that make me an accessory? or am I the subject again because we all smoke cigars and I'm talking about accessories. My favorite cigar accessory is a lockpick tool .. you'd be amazed at how cheap cigars are when no ones in the store 🙂 J/K. I like my Colibri Shark lighter.. I want a triple flame trifleca (or whatever).
