According to STATS, Seattle is just the second team to trail by 12 or more points and rally in the final 2:10 of regulation to win. On Dec. 23, 1972, the Cowboys trailed San Francisco 28-16, but scored twice in the final 1:20 to win 30-28.

I remember that one.

You won't see me throwing too many rocks. The Chiefs blew a 31-7 lead in the wildcard against the Colts.

The difference is, I expected it as they lost five starters in the first half and an average QB still on the field.

Most Packer fans in the office kept to themselves the majority of the day.

Are you suggesting STATS is wrong? I'm thinking they are not but whatever makes you feel better. Honestly I feel your pain. Been there. Well not literally because only San Fran fans have literally been there but total collapses suck especially with a super bowl on the line (which was not the case for San Fran so I guess no one has literally been there)

Just trying to make you feel better.

And in the end there is really no difference losing by 1 or 38. My guess is most folks won't remember Indys 38 point loss. It's not like it was epic or historical.

All kidding aside that sucked. I was hoping GB would win it all and I can't root for Seattle or NE ever.

I hope the SB ends in a 0-0 tie after finally abandoning the whole someone must win thing.

it's ALL post season. win or sit on the porch. all but 2 teams are doing just that. lost a nail biter to the giants because of favre inna championship game 7 years back. it happens. not losing much to f.a. so i expect they'll be back in p.s. next season.

would i like to have seen em' go all the way? fu(k yeah, but in the end, i don't get nuthin out of it, in reality not even braggin' rights. i don't, nor didn't play the game...........plus i got some c-bid asshats comin' that weekend for fishin'. now we can do our thing and not hafta worry about missin the super bowl.

chime in if ya want with your b.s., 1 of em posted on this thread..................and quit makin' me laugh.........

Blackie neither of them are wrong or contradict what STATS accurately reports. That's what I'm laughing about. facts are facts. Maybe you misread it the first time.

According to STATS, Seattle is just the second team to trail by 12 or more points and rally in the final 2:10 of regulation to win. On Dec. 23, 1972, the Cowboys trailed San Francisco 28-16, but scored twice in the final 1:20 to win 30-28.

Don't let the 2:10 fool you it's not arbitrary it's just when Seattle scored I beleive (dunno don't care). Until that time, and still for that matter, the only team to come back from that big or bigger deficit with that little time on the clock is Dallas, although it wasn't for the Super Bowl.

You have a healthy take on it though. For most this was a win/loss that will be remembered for the ages due to how it went down. I'm glad you can shake it off and feel no need to carry it. Most folks forget it's just a game, one in which you are not playing, and in the end only one stands.

It's one of the reasons I get a kick out of folks that obsess about a fumbled field goal snap so many years ago. This game just made the same highlight reel/list.
