are you guys all p***y whipped?

don't you think your wives know whats going on?

toby is no mother theresa and i'm no albert schweitzer, but i keep buying bookcases and making shelves for her barbies and beanies, and she removes the cellophane (i'm a cello off kind of guy)from the cigars before i put them in the humidifier.

perhaps you need family counseling like we did, to tighten up the partnership.

jreddoch is right... be nice to your UPS driver. In the most recent issue of the J.C. Newman "Wrapper" there was a picture of two UPS drivers smoking cigars... LMAO

My UPS driver is retiring next week after 38 years with them. I've got some special smokes set aside as a farewell gift.

I get the usual..."What's in the box....MORE cigars!"

Then I reply..."What's on your feet...ANOTHER pair of shoes!"

Then we don't talk for a week, we must have been made in heaven.

I posted the following to the 'Psychology of Cigars' thread and am reposting here to fix the screw up!

........................................

And another thing, I wouldn't relate your cigar purchases to your woman's shoe purchases. From a woman's standpoint, I'd compare your sticks to their sticks...lipsticks that is. It's a more realistic comparison.

My SHOES avg. $150.00 per pair while my LIPSTICKS avg. $12.00 each. Probably still slightly higher than your avg. per stick price but closer by comparison. Unless wifey poo is shopping at the Payless shoe store!

And just like in Fubar69's story of trying to find his cigar...we woman can never seem to find the right shade of lipstick either. I suppose for all of us, it's a lifelong mission!

BR>

I should add that IF she hassles you about yet one more box from CB, just waltz over to her cosmetic drawer or wherever she keeps her 'stuff' and start handling each and every cosmetic in there...SHE'LL SHUT UP IMMEDIATELY...TRUST ME...

.....................................

Hope this insight helps with your mission...

I have to say, reading this is really helping reduce my stress levels. It is good to know I am not alone in this. You people are too funny, in a scary and real sort of way.

If I had $5 for every time she's said "Steeeeve ... you don't NEED more cigars!!!" I'd be able to pay for about the next 4 or 5 months worth of shipments ... of course, I am quick to point out that (as some of you already know) that some of those cigars are for HER, but that doesn't help much ... I've begun asking every day when I get home "did I get more cigars today?" so that she'll see that there are a lot more days I don't get a shipment than days I do ... it doesn't really help too much, but ...

and as for Moreno and his "You people are too funny, in a scary and real sort of way" remark ... "YOU people" ... inasmuch as you're posting here, aren't you now one of the group?? ... which reminds me ... if you want to be an accepted member of the group, you should know that tradition here requires you to send a "welcome me to the group" cigar to EACH of us here ... don't send Lone Wolfs unless you want a bad rep ... send a cigar that will be indicative of who you are and what you want us to think of you each time we see your name, OK??? ... that way, when she says "Steeeeeve, you don't NEED more cigars, I can say, "well, this is one my new buddy Moreno sent ... it won't be on the credit card" ... (a BIG improvement in the moral at my place)

I've got an understanding with my wife. She lets me purchase cigars, and I let her cook and clean for me. I don't see what the big fuss is all about...

gater, I see I have something to learn from you ... she does the cleaning, but I do the cooking ... it's no damn wonder she's on me about the cigars ... with my latest buys due on the UPS wagon tomorrow or Fri, do you think I should call the house and tell her it's on her to cook dinner tonight???

Steve...point taken about the "You people..."
After I spend more time reading these, I may be able to throw in a wise-ass remark here and there myself.
