Wait, what? If you have no kids, I can see that... the courts probably won't, but I can. If you have kids... the responsible thing to do is A) provide for them and 😎 be a father to them.

(biological kids, or adopted kids... if the kid has a father who is being fatherly, you're off the hook - just my opinion mind you)

That's my deal. I would love it if he decided to follow through on the 500 times I've heard him say hes going to move out west.

I just get irritable when he doesn't want to contribute to the upbringing and wellbeing of his daughter, but wants to pick her up every weekend, take her to his place where he has no rules, and seem like the best dad ever in her eyes while not actually giving a crap.

I've said it before and I'll say it again. If he said he wanted to sign rights over to me, I'd get the papers and pay for them myself. I'd organize a going away party for him and everything. I'd bring the beer and smokes. It would be the best day ever.

For all intents and purposes, I view Kira as MY daughter because I'm the one who actually acts like a Dad.

^and that's the way to be.

Macs, I do the dad thing. I have a responsibility and will see it through. But if she has someone else that wants to take over, I'm not fighting it. I never understood that mindset. Screws up the kid and makes life miserable for everyone

If I was expected to be on the hook for money n time, I'm not playing that game. I'd go work cash jobs and disappear. New dad wants to be dad, he can be dad.

I've got a few deadbeats in my family too. Won't discipline their kids, won't provide for them, endlessly sponging of others.

And you can't fix these people. I have tried to help for years to no avail. The more you help, the less they do.

You know, it doesn't bother me when people choose not to care about themselves. And I am used to sponges. It's when they bring kids into the world and guilt other into caring for them.....

223 yes she will.

My older kids sperm doner hasn't been around for 16 years. He's trying to reestablish now. He doesn't speak English they do t speak Spanish. That's how bright the line has been.

My kids wouldn't even respond to his emails (I don't care if they do or don't, I'll always be their dad). He finally tricked my daughter in to responding by saying he had a terminal illness when he doesn't. Nice guy.

Funny story, my mom left when I was 6. Dad raised me on his own, wasn't always easy but he did his best. Lost jobs when I was causing trouble at school that he got called in for, but always did his best.

My mother tried the same deal about 2 years ago. Said she was dying, etc.. I let her visit me on the condition that my kids weren't there because I didn't need them getting attached to her when she rabbited again.

Low and behold, I wind up getting in touch with my cousin (who Im now super close with) and it was all lies and she was actually going around the family trying to get money, and only looked me up when they all turned her down.

The good that came out of it was it got me to get back in touch with my cousin again after 25 years and she welcomed me into her family with open arms like the prodigal son.

We're putting aside some money to take a vacation to her place in SOCAL this year so she can meet the wife, and the niece and nephew she didn't know she had.

On a less serious note, transferred an ipa loaded with Citra and Mosaic hops to the keg, and my gravity sample tastes phenomimal. As long as it carbonates without issue, I think this one needs to be bottled and shared. Tastes similar to Deschutes fresh squeezed ipa. Similar citrus and melon flavors.

jackasses everywhere.

Third hit n run in two years.

Only had my new truck for two weeks and some jackhole smashed in the rear bumper and broke two of the four backup sensors.

This is why I prefer to drive junk cars. And why I quit riding my motorcycle.

Back when my son was about 7 his father had him on weekends... unfortunately he just took him and dropped him off at his grandmother's for the weekend.. my son complained so I called his father and told him not to come get him anymore... I was surprised he complied.. I expected to go to court and stuff but it never happened.. prolly cause he wasn't paying child support like he was supposed to... your results may vary but it might be worth a try... 😟
