That being said the USPS requires at least 5 business days before its considered "lost". They say 2-3, but its actually up to 5.
If you have given them the package, they may not have scanned it. It wouldn't be the first time I've seen a package miss scans. Once again refer to the 5 days from the day it was shipped.
My grand dad was USPS, and I've shipped a billion times through them in my life so I've learned how they work.
