Beer, just beer for lunch. Had one with breakfast too. And brunch.

Still working on mudding the drywall. 2nd coat about halfway done. All the first coat and tape joints are done. Can't quite finish 2nd coat until the last of the tape joints is dry.

Then tomorrow starts the sanding. At least a little bit. Go back to work tomorrow night.

Never done drywall before, other than an occasional patch or something. Well, did help my dad finish the basement when I was 10, only thing I remember from that is I never wanted to do drywall again. I'll hang it all day long, but finishing work ain't for me. Hell, any construction finish work isn't my forte. I'll do the rough anytime.

It's not somethin I like to do either but recently did a little... smooth mud and a large clean knife is a must... 😟

Haven't started the sanding yet... gonna be a lot of fun on the first half dozen joints when I was still trying to figure out consistency of mud and technique. Picked up quickly, about half the job is gonna be a one pass with the sander, but the other half is getting sculpted by the sander...

I bought one of those swivel pad things you put on a broom handle... I may not use it again for a couple years but it made a huge difference ...
