That bidder looks familiar - may have outbid me in the past.

After following this thread for some time I am sure that if you started an auction li.ited only to overbidders, you would become wealthy within a year.

This is an auction site, the goal is to win UNDER RETAIL. You pay over retail you've overbid!!!

Sheesh. I'm usually trying to pay under WHOLESALE. A couple weeks ago I got a box of My Father #3 for $115. Last I knew, brick-and-mortar wholesale on that box is $135. That's the CBid I know and love.

Newbie email about CBid explains some of the crazy bidding. Earlier today some clown had bid $145 on a box of Flor de Las Antillas Toros. CBid "corrected" him down to $121 ... three bucks less than the CI price. Woohoo!

Two bidders paid $127 -- three bucks over CI retail -- on a box that seems to come up for auction at least twice a week. Brilliant!

I've won two 5ers of those from here, one for $25, the other for $22 - paying $51 seems simply nutso. 😣

I have 3 boxes on Ron Mexico's wrapped in toilet paper, so you know they are originals, that were rolled in the Canary Islands. They are are of the finest mixed fillings, recently swept up off the floor and enhanced by red cedar sawdust. The boxes have been aged inside a pile of fresh horse manure for extra flavor and aroma. CA recently tried them, and after the smokers got out of intensive care, gave them a 99 rating. Let the bidding begin at $300 a box.

I agree ... nice cigar, but $22 - $25 is the price. CBid must love it when the newbie bidders show up :-)

The hits just keep on coming ... some dope bid 7 bucks each on 10 72% Boveda packs. Four bucks each at the local B & M -- CI sells a cube (12-pack) for 44.99:

http://www.cigarbid.com/auction/lot/2255641/boveda-72-60g-humi-pack-60-gram-one-packet/

Best part is, this way he also gets to pay more for shipping.

You really can't make this sh*t up.
