Your tastes can change as well, to add another variable to the mix here.

Life is too damned short to smoke crappy cigars washed down with crappy booze.

You only live once. Splurge on yourself.

Seriously.

I keep trying to tell 8track that. It's true... you got a humi full of cigars you're saving for a special occasion, and BAM! You get hit by a bus, and your friends end up smoking them.

Wait... nevermind, Russ. Keep smokin' the cheap ones!! 😰

I have tried all of the aforementioned cigars. The only one I agree with you about is Padron. Over the years I have become convinced (although some will argue with me on this point) that you cannot buy a bad Padron. Unfortunately, they are too pricey for me to smoke on a regular basis. If I had the bucks, I would do just that. I understand that Rocky Patel smokes them on a regular basis instead of those POS he sells.

first, let me say that #2 is Truth.

also, for very reasonable money, the regular X000 line, especially the maddies IMHO, are tremendous values and maybe the most consistent smokes of all.

the 2000, the londres, and a few others are practically cheap. Padron controls every phase from seed to distribution and though I smoke very rarely now, I do not recall ever feeling like something had changed from this lineup.

Now if the profile is not agreeable to your tastes, that's a different story.

Love well aged Padrons from that Delicias($4)in the natural and maduro wrapper all the way up through the Anniverary series.Padron does do a few things right.......consistency is one of them. That being said from top to bottom they are one dimensional.Probably the best one dimensional cigars ever made.

Yea the black pearl was one example.

Sven used to argue its kosher to buy a brand, change from quality tobacco to a turd and slap the old label on it. He especially thought it was ok if it was once a 90 rated cigar to continue to advertise it as such even though it's a totally different product. It's the only industry I know where that's acceptable.

Fill an empty bottle of chimay with natty light and advertise it as an international medal winning Belgian style ale.
