the funny thing is Allen, I'm not saying JGK is wrong...yet. He may be exactly on target.

I guess I'm not gorilla fighting (see what I did there?) so much as trying to slow stuff down so that the truth has a shot. We have a system I respect, partly due to my own fear of ever being railroaded by an angry mob.

The absolute certainty is disturbing to me.

If you're afraid of angry mobs, you certainly don't belong here....

He shoulda knock the gorilla out with it, then they'd both be alive.

Anybody miss those days when flying off the handle, jumping to conclusions and running blind were acceptable pursuits? ...make America great again...

Let the parents pay for a new gorilla to include shipping. That is the least they can do other keeping a watchful eye on their kids.

I also know a few things for facts:

A child left unattended ended up in a cage with a gorilla.

Kids don't get into gorilla cages if their parent is attentive to them.

Keep repeating this.

Maybe you'll convince yourself it's true.

As Frank said, this woman might be a terrible mother. (and Frank's like a genius)

But without more details it is impossible to know how this happened, and how quickly (and that's the key).

Based on your comments, I feel it's safe to determine that you're:

A. Not a parent

B. A brand new parent with kids too young to run.

C. Simply fooling yourself.

I do.

I look at it it this way...

-a baby monkey breaks into a person's house.

-the adult inside, grabs the monkey by the hand and drags him around by the arm.

-The cops come in and shoot the adult male.

Makes total sense.

So... I'm not a fan of children at all. And the gf pointed out to me that there are only 100k great apes and 7billion people.... So, the argument could easily be made that there is greater value in the life of the ape vs the child. Especially if one were to estimate the amount of money invested in the acquisition and care of this ape, and compare that to the amount of money invested in a child in 4 years (ie, no schooling has taken place, very little investment other than food and shelter).

This is all separate from the judgement of the parents (like frank I'm amazed at how many people are convinced they know exactly how good or bad the parent was), or everyone's willingness to predict the parents will sue (there has been no indication of this so far, so again this is people who are apparently psychic)...

But, bottom line, I am glad to see so many new abortion supporters in the group. I'm sure that anyone who has indicated a 4 year old should be dead to save an animal will vote for the pre-choice candidate this election cycle, as they clearly want the zoo employees to be able to make a choice. So should a woman.
