Had a giant 1"x3' steel bar in my truck toolbox (dunno why) so I drove that into the ground and lashed the awning to it.
Not really sure what I'm going to do when we pack and leave, dunno how I'll get it secured to the camper body. I do have to go to work briefly on Wednesday morning so I'll stop at home and grab some steel, my welder, angle grinder and a drill. See if I can't make something happen.

Actually happy with this Monday as weekend was for chit. Was supposed to be off Sunday, landed up being called in to work. 19 y/o son came home from school because he hurt his knee playing ball. Sent him for an MRI this AM, has a torn ACL, will need surgery. Got no BBQing done. Only smoked 2 cigars the entire weekend. At least the weather was stunning.
For a change, glad the weekend is over and Monday is finally here.
