Do you know why those people you idolize are dead?

Ché Guevara? Dig deeper on this guy! He's not a hero. He's a murderer. His only skill is to move others to act and guerrilla warfare in more than one nation.

The Black Panthers? The Brown Berets? Why didn't you call in the Brown shirts of the 1930's Nazis era! Same benevoleant organizations eh? Food for everyone, protect the downtrodden...look where every example of that has lead. Its not pretty or worthy of hero worship!

Malcolm X, MLK I really don't have a problem with. Malcolm X was a fiery speaker that had been a pawn for the Nation of Islam. MLK was a man that was truly on a mission of change. More so than any of these other "heroes" you mentioned. He stood shoulder to shoulder with those and in instances actually led the marches. They weren't always peaceful, but it wasn't MLK manning the dogs and firehoses!

For the most part it seems that your message was that "Action speaks louder than words". If you would've stated that instead of some poor examples it would've been more credible and carried weight. Instead the images of Cuba under a dictatorship, and a group within the US plotting against the US is what sticks. Why you included Chavez is a mystery. Is it because he was a union leader? Because he rose public awareness? He seems like the odd man out.

Now about the other statement about me asking for you to defend me on the public streets of some inner city? The inner city doesn't scare me. The Bronx, Detroit, Watts DC and East LA are a jungle. I have respect for them but they don't scare me. Nor would I conduct myself in a manner any different than what I type. I have no need to hide behind a computer screen or the quotes of others. I am what I am. If you think I'm some KKK swastika wearing skinhead that will run through a ghetto screaming racial slurs then its your opinion, it doesn't make it factual. I won't puff up my chest and act like I'm king of the world and all others are below me either. Its not the way I operate. If the Emporer isn't wearing any clothes...I'll say he isn't wearing any clothes! Regardless of race, creed, political affiliation, MOS, or social status.

I said it once and I'll say it again given the examples of whom you chose to idolize its no wonder your viewpoint is skewed towards a Marxist, neo fascist with a sprinkling of fundamentalist Muslim. They led peoples thoughts toward action but in most of your examples it wasn't in a very positive direction!

Tey,You can't reason with these ass clowns. They have their own political and person agendas. If you show proof of something countering something they stated, they simply state the informaion source is left wing. I read what they post, smile and shake my head in wonderment. Their own persona is their punishment,LOL. X

I hear you man. I can't chat for long though. I'm currently on a year long quest to find the elusive liberal media bias. 11 months in and still haven't found it. I don't think the right would lie to me so I'll just have to be patient

But one last thing. I don't think Che Guevara was ever responsible for as many deaths as the Bush family.

I am shocked that you do not idolize someone like Osama Ben Laden as the list you have is a lot like him!

So you dislike our President, fine, I wish GWB would close the damn borders and stop all the illegals from crossing....I cannot believe the way Hoag Hospital Emergency in Newport Beach, CA has become the illegal medical clinic! Go there and you will see!

Charlie,

I think all of our opinions deserve to be heard and respected. I'm choosingh to leave mine out of this topic for now. I'm gonna get off the computer and partake in a rich hispanic heritage that goes back more than 500 years ago, a cigar.

Tey and Adroomi,

I do respect your opinions. Maybe I should use different verbiage to be clear. I have no problem with legal immigrants from anywhere. Would I stand on a street corner in LA and shout to the world that 'something has to be done about all these damn illegals'? Probably not.

And just to put the race issue into the mix, if I were to line up 10 people that I would would most like to see disappear, all ten of them would be white people. Just wanted to wake and put the race issue itself to sleep so to not inflame passions here.

Believe it or not, illegals are a big problem in Wisconsin of all places. My frustration isn't with 'Mexicans', it is with anyone unlawfully here, getting free insurance, food stamps, education and Welfare on my tax dollars. THAT is my problem. I don't care if Norweigens are sneaking over the border from Canada. I want them stopped too.

Adroomi,

I request a clarification.

I believe you said your dad came here from another country. Is he originally from Mexico or Latin America? The reason I ask, is on a different post from a couple of weeks ago regarding airport security, you talked about the hassles you recieved and you made the comment 'and I'm WHITE'.

I'm not so ill informed to think their are no white Mexicans (I've seen Univison) but that is a rather small minority. I'm just trying to get my brain around the whole thing.

I don't want to see your grand kids lose a leg playing soccer in the desert either. I would entrust the American government would post not only signs, but a few rows of barbed wire in front as well.

It may be an eye sore, but it would lower your property taxes. (a little sarcasm to balance out all this serious talk).

8Track,

Wow, thanks, some peaceful talk after all. I do appreciate the questions....

Please read my post above again, the man I mention as my father I have stated is "my stepfather who raised me since I was three."

I hope that clarifies it.

Thanks again.

DrMad,

What problem do you have with Google? Is it not one of the best methods for doing research today? I suppose you'd rather I sit in a library for a few hours every day? Oh wait, I do........

What is operation bouncer? I don't follow you there.

Damn!

I thought my "bullet" comment was funny.

Tey, I don't begrudge anybody who comes here legally and wants to work.

I do despise those who choose not to work, or come here illegally.

Does that make me a bad person?

If you've read these boards, you'd know me better than to think that I laugh at the death of those immigrants. But the financial burden that illegal immigrants put on America is a close second to the burden that terrorists create.

You yourself stated a known fact: That the streets of the inner city are rich with illegals, who would likely do harm to somebody if they spoke ill towards them. And there's nothing racist about that, it's simply a damn shame.

Let's face it: unless you're a Native American, we are ALL immigrants. But my ancestors came here legally, and didn't usurp precious tax dollars and burden the system.

As for these guys "putting food on the table", do we cry when a bank robber gets gunned down?

I don't.

It strikes me that the term "illegal immigrants" is an oxymoron that puts a prettier face on the problem than it deserves ...

An "immigrant" would be someone in this country legally ... and, as 'gater so aptly pointed out, we're all descendants of immigrants or immigrants ourselves ...

Illegals are nothing more than trespassers ... it matters not WHERE they're trespassing FROM except for the knowledge of where they should be deported to
