If today was an indication, we are in for another long season. Why the heck would Kapler take Nola out in the 6th, leading 5 to 1 with only 60 some pitches thrown?
When asked this question at the post game news conference, he never really answered it directly. He skirted the question by saying he had the highest confidence in his bullpen to get the job done. When he was asked if he thought NOLA couldn't get the job done, he gave the same BS answer about having the utmost confidence in the bullpen. Philly fans and Philly media are gonna eat him alive. His ego is as big as Frankie Tirpod's middle leg.
Once again, the bullpen looks like it s*cks.
Hopefully the Flyers will hang around into the playoffs for a few rounds so we can have a distraction from the Phillies.
Good luck with that, Dave. Michal Neuvirth only played 2 periods and sustained a "lower body injury" and is back on the DL. Lyons called back up to replace him. IF they make the playoffs, I don't think they will go far, considering their goalie situation.
Of course the Sixers are already in, so that will be another distraction.
Yeah, they're already in, but with Embiid "out indefinitely", after sustaining an orbital bone fracture and concussion from his collision with Fultz, it changes the scheme of things, to say the least.
