I was there the first week on this month helping pick a barrel of bourbon.

Yeah man it’s a pretty good gig. Just like any job there are parts you love and things that bother you. There are several upsides to the industry though. Hopefully they don’t piss me off two days in a row....I don’t want to leave yet.

I know the rules but when you gotta go...well.

Actually maybe it’s from all the bourbon tastings. When selecting a barrels you get maybe a 3 ounce shot per glass.( it’s a lot). Well that times 5 barrels is a lot of bourbon. there are no dump buckets so you pour it on the rickhouse floor.
No comments of wasting bourbon. I was tasting, getting drunk was another time. .

I bet in a few years......this Bourbon (what can be rescued) will be given some "special" significance and they'll sell it as a Limited Edition $$$$
