Ended up at Deanies. My son said he was buying so HAHAHA. Had 2 dozen on the half shell and damn did I needed that. The only place I can find them fresher is at the oyster farm in rocky point. stayed right on bourbon street, wanted to kill the little kids beating on the five gallon buckets with drum sticks. One night is enough there.

Forget about Acme Oyster House. Go to The Burbon House around the corner from AOH. They make the best charbroiled oysters you’ll ever taste. They also have some premium farmed oysters which are outstanding. Their crab cakes have zero bread crumbs only fresh crab and seasonings.

They best po-boys are at Johnny’s. For fried seafood check out Deanie’s in Bucktown.

My wife is from New Orleans. I lived their for 5 years. Let me know when you are going and my wife and I can drive down and meet you. We live about an hour and twenty minutes from the French Quarter.

Shoot me a PM and I’ll give you my cell number.

Damn! I love me some charbroiled oysters! Have tried a few times myself on the grill but the results were just okay.

If you want charbroiled oysters, you gotta go to Dragos. You will not be let down. Head across from Harrahs and do Grand Isle and do dessert at Ruth's Chris.
Go to House of Blues and listen to music or whatever is available then and eat the smothered Tater Tots. Definitely worth a try.
Go to Domenica inside the Roosevelt Hotel and get some Good Pizza.
Finish it up at the store you will appreciate. 730 Orleans Street. Right off of Bourbon.
