Kirby for the win... Nothing like it on the market... You can buy a refurbished one for less than $400 on eBay and as long as you don't vacuum up water or something terrible like that, it'll be the last vacuum you ever buy.... And it comes with the hose deal and attachments as well as a light carpet shampooer...

If you want new, you've gotta go through one of those door to door folk... They'll want $2k but their cost is about $900 so you can usually get it for that...
