Brought home some stuff to operate on the dog. She's had a growing lump on her back for several months. Didn't seem to bother her if I touched it, but it continued to slowly grow. Yesterday I noticed the fur clumping over the spot (longhair shepherd/husky mutt - can't get through that fur) I cut the fur off and there was an abscess just starting to breach the skin. So this morning I lanced and drained it as best I could, but it's gonna need a full I&D and packing and I can't do doggy anesthesia.

Better start cleaning up that mess and put the toilet seats back down.

Poor puppy-dog.... 😞

Turns out my grandson who works for Boeing in Everett is only 20 miles away. The kid will be doing an inspection for me sometime this week.

She's got 3 that I can find. Two small ones and the monster I lanced this morning. She picks up LOTS of ticks, I assume it's from an infected tick bite.

Making an appointment for the doggy doc to cut em open and pack em proper. Gonna have to pick up some extra shifts for this one I'm sure.

Kids both have colds.. So much coughing all night... Been up since 430ish and I'm exhausted... Might have to call my mommy and ask her to bring me coffee...

Got 4 dozen rosy red minnows into the aquaponics pond yesterday and built a makeshift greenhouse around it to keep em warm through the night... Haven't taken the cover off yet but probably gonna have to scoop some dead ones at some point today... At sixteen cents each you can't expect them all to make it...

Is it against the law to pose as a veterinarian ?

Found a bunch of tobacco seeds! Forgot, before the children I had dreams of growing a few stalks for kicks... Decided to start some Florida Sumatra and Connecticut broad leaf in the aqua-pond this morning to see what happens...
