in N.J..)..it amazes me what those people throw out in the trash, how often they go out to eat and watching rich bastids buying gas for .20-30 more cents a gallon THEN on the mainland...

GO HANG OUT IN ASHVILLE and visit the new Sierra Nevada brewery...it is the Disneyland of breweries...take the outdoor walking tour...order the grilled lamb chops, couscos and heirloom tomato salad...freakin delicious!!!
And 3 HOP HUNTER IPA's!!

^15 minutes off the Blue Ridge and about 3 hours north of Ashville. The wife wants to visit Biltmore sometime, so I'll check out the brewery. I'm been a fan of Sierra Nevada for decades.

Do both...but NOT on the same day....
Do a Biltmore hotel stay , 1 night w/dinner reservations in the downstairs , plus do drinks at 4/430 on the veranda and pretend your rich...and another night in a ashville hotel after the brewery tour..,.It will be a $450-650 weekend but a shiiit load of fun , great food and drinks.

My buddy is in Charlotte and loves it for over 20 years.

Settlement was today. Everything went well. Spent the early morning loading my trailer in the rain so I was soaked during settlement. Heavy rain in PA and traffic was barely moving on the Turnpike so we pulled off and got a room for the night.

Anyhow, after years of trying to escape, we are finally out of Jersey for good. Too tired to celebrate tonight, but tomorrow is another day.

So, you're "on the road" already ?
I was hoping to get to see you before you left.
Now I'm gonna have to drive to NC . . . which is not out of the realm of possibility.
My niece lives in Boone, NC, (well, actually in Blowing Rock, which is right next to Boone), and we owe her a visit.
Send me yous address, so I can program it into WAZE.

^John, we're about an hour north of Boone, so we're "on the way" to your nieces' place. Just a few miles off of Route 77. We are currently in the middle of massive renovations, so no room for company right now, but as soon as the place is finished we'd be thrilled to have you.

Left Jersey around 1 PM on Monday during the heavy rain. Traffic was moving around 30 mph on the PA Turnpike, so we pulled off at Morgantown and grabbed a room at the Holiday Inn. Figured it may be the last time in the area, so ate dinner and breakfast at Shady Maple. Left Tuesday morning for NC. Near Harrisburg, I started to smell burnt antifreeze and a film was building up on the inside of the windshield of the Silverado. Blown heater core. Drove the rest of the way with the heat off and the windows open. Only lost about an inch of antifreeze in 6 hours, but we did get here safely yesterday afternoon.

So, you want my address for the WAZE do you? What kind of fool do you think I am?
