Listening to a classical music station on satellite... The dj or host or whatever you call them was a clearly older gentleman... At one point after a particular song he told the following story about the conductor who had directed the piece:

"At one point when [this conductor] was in rehearsal with his musicians, he had them repeat the middle part where the flutes come in, and then he had them repeat it again, and then again. Finally one of the musicians asked the conductor, 'what is it we are doing wrong? What would you like us to do differently?' And the conductor replied 'nothing, I just like that part so much I wanted to hear it again'... That's a good story."



I'm no expert on communication or the art of story telling.... But if you gotta end your own story with a "that's a good story", you're probably a liar and almost definitely a bad story teller...

It is hard to pick one, isn't it?

My sister took her daughter to one of these conventions up in Seattle... She was slightly aware of the whole brony culture but thought it was mostly a joke that was blown out of proportion...

She also bought tickets for the first morning it was open because apparently that's usually a day set aside for actual little girls... But ya, no, according to my sister it was still 85% overweight middle aged men looking to get their freak on...

That's a good story...
