Well, there goes any chance of getting a decent price on the bid. 😣

My latest "find" among mild cigars is the Fratello Oro. It's wrapped in Ecuadoran Connecticut...very creamy with some complexity and flavor variations from the average connie...

Totally agree on this. The Oro is prob my fav Connecticut that I've smoked. Haven't had an MF Connecticut though.

I wasn't impressed with the Oliva Connecticut either. I think I have 1 or 2 more of those. Might have to pull one out.

The La Aurora 1495 Connecticut is pretty good too.

my complaint on the MF is, almost every time I remove the band it's stuck to the wrapper, and will tear/peel away a little bit of the wrapper....once that happens the cigar goes downhill...
My advice, for what it's worth, is leave the band on until you have to remove it...8-[

Is that strictly for the mf Connecticut, or all my father's?

I could be totally off here, but my feeling on Connecticut wrappers on general are that - like a candela - the thick, durable wrappers are trash, whereas the thin, fragile wrappers that stick to anything are the tasty ones...

I don't know if that's the difference between the true Connecticut grown Connecticut shade vs the Ecuadorian stuff or what it is, just my experience....

Really? The Connecticut has got to be close to the worst cigar they make...

The la promesa Lancero is pretty fantastic... The regular my father line is great too imo...

Lots of people love the le bijou... I buy them now and then but I've had mixed results... Some are great, others meh....

I bought a 5er of the MF Connie in CG when they first came out. Fo’ sure they weren’t the Connies of old. Much stronger and, like most MFs, peppery.

Every once in a while I’ll buy some Connies in the hopes that I’ll get back to smoking in the morning with coffee. Haven’t had a chance to do that lately. I kinda miss the nicotine and caffeine start to the day.

I really miss the morning commute smoke. That was a lot of tar I wiped off the Rav4 windows for the trade-in though

What year was your Rav? I had an '04 that was a company vehicle so couldn't smoke in it. But not that someone 2,500 miles away would know about. Was a great perk until they took it away at the end of '16. The regional bean counter noticed a slew of repair bills that I was expensing so questioned my boss about it. As he was told, I was in violation of company policy. But in the end, it all worked out as I found a SUPER deal on a '14 Honda CR-V Nav-L that only had 4,690 miles on it when I drove it off the lot on Christmas Eve '16. It was almost brand new.
