Oh boy.....my brothers didn’t subside for 2 months due to the root having to be removed. I’d say “I feel ya” but it’s second hand experience.

It's a side effect of inflammation at the surgical site, which is a normal thing to happen when you been chopped up a bit.

This is what I do for a living. Pretty common for patients to get very discouraged by afib after ascending aneurysms, aortic valves, and aortic root surgery. It's extremely common, due to anatomy.

This too shall pass. The shock to your body is immense after these procedures. Things happen. But the fact that you're coherent and conscious is a HUGE deal. Everything else can recover with time and hard work. It's a tough surgery to go through. But you got this if you can keep your mind right. It's incredibly hard work, but it's gotta get done, and you're the only guy for the job.
