You need an aeropress, bro.

Once you've had pressed coffee, you won't want brewed coffee any more.

I'm a coffee hoe. I have french presses also. Love them. But I had no beans ground and my wife stuck the burr grinder somewhere. 🤦

I have a mocha pot that makes amazing coffee/expresso too. But again, gotta pay attention to that one so you don't scorch the expresso. That's my after dinner go to normally.

The Cuisinart is a Grind and brew. Fill the grinder with beans, the tank with water, set the timer
and "normally" freshly ground and brewed coffee is waiting when I get up. I really need that coffee ready when my feet hit the deck. And it does make really good coffee. In volume. 😁

Didn't drink coffee when I first joined the Navy. My mom drank tea, so there really wasn't any in the house growing up.

I like coffee. I drink a big cup every morning, but that's it. I don't 'need' it. I function fine without it, but it moves the digestive system along and it perks me up.

I'm not one of those 'hook finger' chiefs that walked around all day with a cup of coffee.

I have been drinking in the mornings since 7th grade, when I got my first 24oz travel mug to take to school. By high school it was a 32oz bright pink mug.
When a couple teachers would enforce the "no food/drink in the classroom" rule, I would keep a 1lb bag of starbucks french roast beans in my backpack that I would chew on. I would occasionally take a quick drive to the nearby QFC to get a 5 shot espresso at the Starbucks stand if I was really tired. Those were the days when a double espresso was pretty cheap, and each extra shot was only like 0.40$ or less.

currently I'm the only one in the office who drinks coffee. That's slowed me down a little... I fill my tiny 2 cup combination french-press/travel mug in the morning... that gets me to work and through the first part of the day... somewhere along the line I make a pot and drink that through the rest of the day. Which is a lot less than I used to drink when there was always a pot of coffee brewing.

Helped my parents with the leaf cleanup. I hate going on roofs, and trying to run a leaf blower standing on the edge of the roof is extra not fun. But it kept them from going up there.

Their mowers are getting pretty rough, looks like I'm gonna have to take em home sometime this winter and go through them again. It's been several years since I've worked on any of them but they had the two "best ones" and they're running like garbage. The others I assume are dead. Used to have all the same model but now it's a mix of whatever he's found on Craigslist n stuff so it makes it harder to cannibalize one to fix 3. I hate buying new parts because then he tries to pay me.

Dad's truck running rough so I plugged in my code reader before I left. Needs an EGR valve. Probably more. Gotta fix that too.

Since I sold my boat the need for a full size diesel truck has diminished greatly. Test drove a Jetta GLI today with the 2.0L turbo. I think the salesmen pooped his pants when I floored it getting on the freeway and damn near got to 100 mph before I realized it.

I liked it. Smaller, peppy, handled very well, solid feel, and decent MPG with regular unleaded fuel.

Their online asking price is $24,475... drop 1k off that... gimme 32k for my truck (still owe 10k) and after TTL I could write a check for 4k and have no car note. 🤔

So they offered me 25.5 for my truck... and I said 33. They countered with 26.5 and I said no lower than 32. They said 27 and I said no thanks.

Meh... I was bored, so it occupied my attention for a bit. KBB says high trade for my truck is 32, and the Carmax right by the VW dealer is selling one damn near identical to mine for 38k. Not today, gents... I've got no issues continuing to drive my truck. It has less than 27k miles and it's a diesel... ain't even broke in yet.

Like I said... I was just lookin'. That's the best time to buy... when you really don't need to. My truck is very, very nice. Without the boat, it's a bit of overkill for me. A 2.0L turbo Jetta GLI would be fun fuh sho... but I don't need it, nor am I in any hurry to unload my truck. Especially at a lowball offer.
