Skim in the House.

Kids do not need whole milk (fat) past the age of 2. The fat is needed for brian development early on, but after 2 years of age skim is better for them.

To quote Monty Python, "Brian Damage". Sorry, RDC. Not making fun of you; just one of my favorite Python skits.

I chug an ice cold, tall glass of whole milk right before bed. Usually the only glass of the day.

Just a bit of 2% in my hot tea every morning and afternoon. Otherwise, I don't drink the stuff, and never really liked it as a kid. My mom actually made me egg custard when I was a kid, so that I'd get a bit of extra calcium from the milk in it. I like many things made from milk, e.g. cheese, custard, etc., but just never cared for the unadulterated stuff.

2%

My son and I go thru two gallons a week.

My Mom only buys non-fat. The second I moved outta the house I started buying the good stuff (2% or whole). Now when I go to visit for dinner, I can't stand drinking the stuff she buys.

Reminds me of that rant Quinten Tarantino has in "Pulp Fiction". I buy the good stuff because she can't tell the difference between it and crap.

hate milk

kids drink 1% much better for them than 2% after they pass the early years when they need the fat.
