Memo was released today. The Sheriff has authorized beards and goatees.

Nary a gray hair on my head... but my beard is damn near all white.

A roof guy who's great at postponing the job.

To be fair tho, the weather has been freakishly bad the past 5 weeks or so.

Ran up to One Trick Pony in Lansing IL for barrel release party. Clydesdale barrel aged barleywine and a rerelease of leftover 2017 Phlanders cherry Belgian sour ale.

Bought my carryout limit on both (2 bottles ea) and drove to work, gave the Belgians to a coworker who goes nuts for the stuff (it's REALLY freaking good) and went back up to the brewery to buy my limit again.

Was sposeda meet up with a buddy and stay there a while but he had to do some thanksgiving prep wasn't gonna be there for a while and I can't stand crowds so I said fuggit and went home. Wife's got friends over, good thing I have a heated garage.

Can't wait for tomorrow.

Thought about having them do the shed, but I'm planning on building a pole barn and burning the shed down someday. Didn't wanna pay for that.

Chicken coop is roofed with a corrugated asphalt product in 4x6 panels that should last 20 years.

And poop scooping was done this morning. Cleaned it out, filled food n water.

I can't wait for tomorrow when I get drunk on fantastic beers and eat all the foods.

Running up to Gary to pick up some more beers from 18th St Brewery. The one wife wants is $40 for a 4 pack of 12oz.. It's really good. When I had it last time we went there for lunch, it was $6 on tap, but it came as a tiny 5oz pour...

18th St and One Trick Pony are surpassing 3Floyds in the local beer scene. Food at 3f is still tops tho.

Day after day I'm more confused
Yet I look for the light in the pouring rain
You know that's a game that I hate to lose
I'm feelin' the strain, ain't it a shame..

Got through the day. The cold streak on the bones continues. Up almost a box for the year, so I can't complain.

Family coming over tomorrow. Nephew has the flu. Hope he stays home. Then again, if he was healthy I'd still, prefer he stayed away. High energy, little undisciplined brat. Not an angel like I was.

Gary IN. Bout the only thing worth going to Gary for.

I don't really care for Zombie Dust. IPAs in general aren't really my thing. I will enjoy them thoroughly, but if given a choice I prefer Belgians, Stouts, Barleywines, Scotch Ale, things with a lot of substance. I'll take 3F Alpha King over Zombie Dust any day. IPAs without a backbone are just hop broth.
