I built my wife a .260 REM on a Savage Model 12 Action. Much more end user friendly, head space gages vice a lathe. 😁 Lothar Walther SS barrel, McMillan A5 stock I bedded with Devcon Titanium putty.
She's won a couple of 1000 yard F-Class matches with it. 142 SMK's over H-4350 and Federal 210 primers in Lapua brass. IOR 6.5-24 scope.
I run a Savage .308, Lothar Walther barrel, Manners stock, Nightforce scope. 175 SMK's. I'm good to 1k.
Having grown up in the .mil with the remmies, the Savage's are much more user friendly, and the accu-trigger is a better trigger right out of the box.
