Father is arriving this evening. Trying to decide whether to just take the rest of the week off.

I "get" 6 weeks paid time off a year. Never get approval to use it though. Requested four separate weeks off next year and they were all denied. Requests have to be submitted by December 31 for the following year, can't request during the same year.

I ain't complaining, mind you... but it isn't 6 weeks vacation.

We can acquire as much as 700 hours of vacation. Anything over you lose. We can acquire 1400 hours of sick, but you only get 50% of your sick time paid out unless you are over 15 years of service... then... $$$$$.
