Yeah. I’m up so I’ll be in bed early. Working Sunday through Wednesday. I get Thursday through Tuesday off, then I start on my new shift, Wednesday through Saturday.

Every year it’s the same chit..........I tell myself THIS year I won’t gain weight........I’ll watch what and how much I eat...

This won’t be gone until March most likely...

I'm really getting tired of these semi-abandoned nursing home patients who come in after rotting away for months in whatever facility, and then the family comes outta the woodwork saying "they were perfectly fine when they went in, you gotta fix em" bullchit, they don't go to an extended care facility if they're perfectly fine.

Happens around the holidays every year. Really wears on you. These people should've been hospice or at a minimum DNR months or years ago. Then we pull out all the stops, invest incredible amounts of resources and labor, with no change in the expected outcome. Just delays death for a few days or weeks with incredible burden to the patient. This is the reason I hate Christmas. Love me some Thanksgiving though.

There are worse things than death. Way worse. And it's my job to provide those things.

Having some beers and hoping to sleep. The part that takes the cake is early January is our annual drug and tobacco test so I can't sit in the garage with a pipe or cigar after work.

6 more till a day off. 14 till a smoke break.

I was doing yard work, hadn't eaten yet so I headed to Carl's... Then i realized I was probably gonna spend $13 for a burger I didn't like, fries I didn't need, and a soda I didn't want...

I'm back at home cooking $9 a rib eye...
