We get direction from above sometime to "limit" overtime. But you want the work done, right?

Sergeants have not been mandated, but I take a shift here and there in order to help out and not have to force another OT day.

Once all these trainees are off training some of the OT will dry up but there will still be enough for those who want it. Sergeants will no longer be allowed OT.

Got the boy on the bus then went and washed the truck. Stopped at the grocery store, picked up a nicely marbled 3.5lb chuck and some beer.

Started the smoker and went out back to let chickens out, gather eggs, and pick up fallen tree bits. Lit the burn pit and came back to the garage. Rubbed the chuck with salt, pepper, cayenne, garlic, and paprika. Tossed it in the smoker and cracked a beer.

All by 915am. Didn't sleep much last night.
