I love trout fishing. There is a creak in Potter County, Pa. called Kettle creek. It is teaming with native Brook trout. Their meat is pink because all they eat is crayfish. It's salmon pink and delicious!!! They fight like monsters too. They don't get as big as the rainbows or browns but, they are fun to catch. Even some Palamino's in that creek, which get huge! I really want to take a trip to the great lakes and fish for steel head trout.

There is a creek about 10 mins from my house that gets stocked every year. I spend a lot of time there in the Spring and Summer. A few years back some idiots release two pet alligators into the creek further upstream but they were caught and removed before anyone got hurt or lost a dog. Lot's of people bring there dogs to this creek for swimming.

My last Black Lab Lily (my avatar) used to go out into the middle of the creek, face the current and then just stand or sit there and relax as the water rushed past her. She would let out this loud and long sigh whenever she did it. I always felt bad going fishing there because she'd see me getting ready to go fishing and would get upset that she couldn't come. She lived in the water. I'd have never caught a thing with her there. I REALLY miss that dog. Black Labs are awesome! 😢 😢 😢 😢

I've never caught a trout.

Completely forgot I made a lemon bundt cake last night... With strawberry/buttercream/cream cheese frosting... Kids and I are having it for breakfast while the boy plays Nintendo...

I'm exhausted from this work week. Two days to go. Put in 90 hours on the clock last week, with 40 of that at double time and a half, 10 time and a half. So, something around 140 pay hours for that week. 64 the week prior.

Gonna be a nice paycheck for the wife.

Think I'm gonna take a big chunk of that for myself. Got $900 on a credit card I gotta pay off after that tow bill, knock it out in one shot otherwise it'd take a few months.

They're already cutting back on double time offering, so gotta abuse it while I can.

Morning gents looking like it's going to be a nice day outside. Got to get out and get on the mower and cut the weeds down yards looking a little rough.

Stopped and looked at a truck this morning while dealership was closed. I hate salesmen. Leftover 2019 GMC Sierra 2500HD gasser discounted 5k.

Same powertrain I have now, so not overly interested, but $34k for brand new with warranty. 4wd, crew cab, long bed, decently optioned with power seats and 5th wheel prep and cameras.

I almost bought a 2015 Sierra 3500 similar options at 30k before the roof leaked last summer.

I'm tempted. I think I need to wait and try towing with my dads new diesel truck before I decide though. And I think I'd rather go 2020 with the 6.6 over the 6.0 if i stay in a gas truck. I wanted a new Ford 7.3 if going gas, but mpg reports are abysmal. I'm not willing to accept sub 10mpg. I'm ok at 10, but 7-8 is unacceptable.

hey danm...MACS had a diesel truck...pulled his boat uphill like it was nothing...think it got something like 15/mpg while towing and 17 mpg overall...

is diesel readily available in your neck of the woods?

17 towing and 22-23 when not towing. I got 26.5 mpg on a Vegas trip.

That was a small diesel, though. He's gonna need a bigger one if he's towing 8000+ lbs. My boat was only 4000.
