Maybe he’s ok because he hits so hard.

Why did New England have to give up draft picks for Grankowski when he was already "retired"?

Because he announced retirement he wasn’t officially retired and would have counted for 10 million against their cap.

As I understand it, even if he were retired, as long as NE retained his rights, he wasn't a free agent that was able to sign with any team. Had the Pats released him, then he could have gone to TB without any compensation.

They would have to release him but he’d have to be on their “active roster” to release. So yes and no....

So two players went to Tampa Bay just for the money. When did Tampa Bay's pockets become so deep? Sounds like they are trying to buy themselves a Super Bowl.

They kinda, sorta did that when they traded for Jon Gruden and gave up a bunch of draft picks.

^ major drop off on talent after the top 10-15 this draft even though it’s deep at WR.

I am interested to see what Miami does, how Cincinnati will screw it up, and the Bears do nothing because the GM wasted picks to get the wrong QB one spot earlier when nobody else wanted him.

Cincinnati's pick will dictate how the first round plays out IMO. If anyone can screw things up it's the Bengals. 🌫 🍺

A 188lb WR is going to die on the field. This should be a good year for the Eagles... Since the batteries thrown at Santa incident we need a new controversy... A death on the field will keep the Philly is crazy tradition going for another 50 years.

It was SNOWBALLS that the fans in Philly threw at Santa Claus, and there is a story behind why that transpired.

IIRC, the batteries were thrown by Patriot fans, but you'll have to ask Frankie T or RMANN for the details about that.
(I'm SURE, they'll put their own biased spin on it, so take what they say with a grain of salt.)
