Google the geographic areas of TN and you will be even more surprised and enlightened. We once owned a farm that was the ridge where the Intercontinental Divide is! If you looked one way from the top of the hill, ALL the water runs to the east via creeks and smaller rivers and into the lower TN River, if you looked to the west, ALL that water runs into the MS River via creeks and river systems.


The very bottom field had springs that fed into each direction. Cool place and I was VERY sad that my siblings hassled my Father until he sold it.
