I don't have high hopes that it'll go well.

There's been a pretty steady flow of covid patients the last couple weeks. Not the hordes we got around 6 weeks ago, but steady.

Again, I hope I'm wrong. Its still prevalent. I'm seeing a lot more people wearing masks in public, which should help. But also many who are proudly defiant and vocal about not masking up. My family included - they say I'm "in on the scam" really wish I could strap a gopro on my chest at work.

Lifting the restrictions doesn't mean it's over. It just means we have some rooms and vents in the hospital. Except we don't really have the rooms, but we do have extra vents finally.

Gotta remember to put the mayo in the sinks at work tonight. This will be year 10 that I fill my pockets and toss a mayo packet in every sink I encounter. Gotta beat my 20 sink record.

They're opening up our town today. Maybe I'll get a damn haircut.... I look like a hippie.

Of course, this is just 1 day after a meat processing plant in MO shut down for having 300 cases....

As we all know... I'm on the side that wants all of our freedoms restored. Still baffled at how quickly we rolled over.

Maybe because most of us aren't dumb enough to make the problem as binary as "freedoms" or "no freedoms".

I never wanted sh#t to close down either. But that take is a real dumb one.

If the bar for "smarter than everyone" is understanding the issue of managing a pandemic is more complex than "freedoms" vs "taking away our freedoms!" then we really are in trouble.

Don't make your statements about complex issues short enough to fit on a bumpersticker and I won't call your opinions dumb.
