I summarized (in part) the theory as formulated by them. It’s not my opinion or speculation, it’s what they believe.

Critical Theory is an academic discipline in humanities departments. It’s clearly and unequivocally spelled out in numerous books and academic journals. Research it yourself.

It’s very telling how rarely anyone is willing to debate the validity of critical theory and resort to attacking the credibility of the messenger.

You can blame the humanities departments of universities all over the country for that. 98.2% of all their publishing is opinion based. The humanities departments are why kids today are acting the way they are. It all started there. I've seen "research" papers published and turned into books that had sample sizes of 12 people. The humanities have been overrun by the extreme left. Critical Theory is Marxism on steroids. There are numerous books and academic journals all over the world that promote Communism too. That doesn't make them valid. There are so many anonymous stories of humanities professors afraid to speak out about the current state of the humanities dept's it sickening. Don't tow the party line and you're out. The humanities were supposed to teach people how to think, not what to think.

Just to clarify... I identify as a liberal. Today's liberals would call me right wing.

heard a story about the virtual learning thing going on... I guess some teachers are upset because parents are listening to the lessons being taught... 🤔

My kids teacher sent over a "Contract" with the rules of the classroom and expects all the parents and kids to sign it.

Told my wife, I ain't signing that sh*t, and don't you sign it either.

Have her ancestors rolling in their graves over signing another bad contract.

The "Contract" says the rules of the class room in the most direct of fashions...

But the "Contract" doesn't stipulate what happens in the event of a dispute, doesn't specify jurisdiction, act of god exceptions or any of that.

I might just be being a d*ck, but I think I would be doing my kid a disservice if I let her think it's ok to go sign arbitrary, binding, one sided legal documents

If it's anything like some of the thing's that I've seen from the educators around my area, it's more of a notification that this is the way it's going to be. Sign the dotted line to confirm that you read it. I don't think that the teachers see it as a something that is up for negotiation.

If it makes you feel better, they'll feed you the "we understand and it's a trying time for everybody, we don't like it anymore than you do" story.

Well, she'll have to present it as such instead of presenting a contract.

Contract implies there is mutual benefit... there is not. She is offering nothing.

All it serves as is a tool of power to controll the kids with, and to wave at the parents if their kid misbehaves.

Anyway, it is not mandatory, what she going to do, kick my kid out of school?

I'm still stunned by him feeling insulted and personally attacked when I said he's breakfast savvy.

Biden says nuns inspire him to run, plans to sue Little Sisters of the Poor

If you haven't figured it out already, Joe Biden's true religion is the worship of the progressive state and obedience to its doctrines above all else.

So because you believe Joe to not be a Christian, you automatically make the assumption that there is some other ominous entity that he must be submissive to?

There is no room for individual choice, no room for moral codes other than what's PC, no room for questioning or rejecting progressive dogma. The priests of the church and their acolytes in the media will tell you the right way to think, and the right things to say. It is a cult that demands conformity and obedience or you'll be cast out. If they can't convince you with rhetoric, they'll try to force it down your throat by legal means and legislation, the absolute perversion of what law should do.
Go ahead, prove me wrong.

So you believe the T nutjobs who believe in dictatorships, attacks protesters, silencing the media, spreading faulty scientific information,... etc, etc,.... etc,......

Is better than the way you describe ... someone who wants people to respect each other?

I get it, you're worried your right to sh*t on other peoples' rights might be in danger...
