Hate the humidity and storms of Florida. Hate winters anywhere north of Texas. It's a dry heat.

Anywhere you go you'll deal with something. Winter. Hurricanes. Earthquakes. Stupid. High taxes. Etc...

Gotta weigh the pro's and con's for yourself and your situation. CA has a whole lotta high taxes and a whole lotta stupid... with an occasional earthquake. The earthquakes don't bother me. The weather sure is nice most of the year and the fishing is pretty good.

I still want to move to FL... yeah, the humidity sucks but I'd get used to it. Plus they have Waffle House!

I have waffle house less than a mile from me. I'd move away from it not towards it LOL

In Florida when you see a body of water...doesn't matter what...there are 3 stages of gator attached to it.

1 - There's an alligator in it

2 - There's going to be an alligator in it

3 - There was an alligator in it

This is the reason why if you have a small dog and you live on a body of water you don't leave it unattended. It's also a major reason why you should fence your yard and have a screened in enclosure. It's enough of a deterrent to stop them from getting in your pool...but if they want it bad enough...they will.
