In order to not sully another post Re: COVID vaccine.

There seems to be some underlying idea that after you get the vaccine you have some sort of "full immunity."

Is that what we're supposed to be selling it as now?
Where did this idea come from?

I thought we we're to fear everyone and assume that even if they had no symptoms, they still carried the bug of sure death. It's hitchhiking on their clothes, body, and everything they touch.

Are asymptomatic people contagious with COVID-19?
A person with COVID-19 may be contagious 48 to 72 hours before starting to experience symptoms. In fact, people without symptoms may be more likely to spread the illness, because they are unlikely to be isolating and may not adopt behaviors designed to prevent spread.

Just because you got the vaccine can you not be a carrier anymore?

Are the non-vaccinated people going to be chastised when (not if) we see a rise in positive test results?

Just wonderin'

Vaccination doesn't mean immunity. 1 out of 20 people vaccinated will not get any immunity. We don't know how long the vaccine is effective and we don't know if variants will be covered by the vaccine. The goal seems to be herd immunity and perhaps with more knowledge we will be able to minimize the spread of illness. Don't throw your masks away yet.

When you get the vax pretend you haven’t. Keep using precautions. We don’t know everything yet.

Not sure where the full immunity thing is coming from. Not in or from my world.

To answer the questions, we'll first have to know who is in office.

Covid-19 and climate change are both extinction level events. I’m just not sure which one will kill us first.

Have a nice day!

from CDC website: response to question: should I wear a mask after getting vaccine?

"Yes. Not enough information is currently available to say if or when CDC will stop recommending that people wear masks and avoid close contact with others to help prevent the spread of the virus that causes COVID-19.

Experts need to understand more about the protection that COVID-19 vaccines provide in real-world conditions before making that decision. Other factors, including how many people get vaccinated and how the virus is spreading in communities, will also affect this decision. We also don’t yet know whether getting a COVID-19 vaccine will prevent you from spreading the virus that causes COVID-19 to other people, even if you don’t get sick yourself. CDC will continue to update this page as we learn more.

While experts learn more about the protection that COVID-19 vaccines provide under real-life conditions, it will be important for everyone to continue using all the tools available to help stop this pandemic.

To protect yourself and others, follow these recommendations:

Wear a mask over your nose and mouth
Stay at least 6 feet away from others
Avoid crowds
Avoid poorly ventilated spaces
Wash your hands often
Together, COVID-19 vaccination and following CDC’s recommendations for how to protect yourself and others will offer the best protection from getting and spreading COVID-19."

So it's no longer everything back to normal after we flatten the curve?

Just bare with it for or a few weeks and all will be well... errr... make it a few months... err... we wait for the vaccine... Everything back to normal after we get a vaccine.

Guess not.

The "officials" are saying that we are to maintain all COVID precautions for... well, for... like forever or until they give the AOK. This COVID-19 stuff is beaten to death. We totally blew past the COVID-20 entry to the list of human plagues (maybe someone already had those naming rights).

I can't wait for COVID-2021 (coming to a theater near you) this summer.

He can have all the opinions he wants... just thought it should be known that they're uneducated opinions...

In the same manner, it should be pointed out that when you have opinions on criminal justice administration, they're educated... doesn't mean they're right, just educated... there's a difference...

I think your opinion on criminal justice reform should be taken very seriously. Your opinion on covid has been extremely wrong and dangerous every step of the way and in no way based on facts known at the time yet you preached things with an air of authority that if followed would be very counter productive. And you never looked back to see where you were wrong. You just preached the new thing.
